    In this document, Dr. Joseph Warren agrees to pay a certain amount of "Potters' Ware" in addition to a sum of money for the purchase of an enslaved boy from Joshua Green, 28 June 1770.  Dr. Warren, a Boston physician who treated African Americans in his medical practice, was a noted patriot and general in the Continental Army, and was killed at the Battle of Bunker Hill.
