James H. Wolff

James H. Wolff fought in the U.S. Navy during the Civil War, studied at the Harvard Law School and co-founded the first comprehensive black law firm in Massachusetts, Walker, Wolff & Brown. He was active in the late 19th century struggle for civil rights in Massachusetts. Wolff was a Commander in the racially integrated Civil War Veterans Organization, the Massachusetts GAR.
