[ This description is from the project: Boston Massacre ]

This broadside, published by W. Bingley of London, features an engraving by an unidentified artist which was based on Henry Pelham's depiction of the Boston Massacre (available from the American Antiquarian Society). This rendition includes text from the Pelham engraving (Psalm 94, verses 4, 5, 6), as well as text from the engraving by Paul Revere ("Unhappy Boston! see thy Sons deplore"), both of which were made earlier in Boston. This engraving was initially created for the frontispiece of A Short Narrative of the Horrid Massacre, another publication by Bingley, but was also sold separately, as evidenced by the price of "6d." at the bottom of the broadside. (This particular copy of the broadside was previously tipped into a copy of Bingley's "A Short Narrative... .")
